Central Phuket, Now with UPGRADES!

There are only 2 major malls in Phuket, Jungceylon in Patong, and Central Fiesta in the center of the island. Bangkok has seen major upgrades to its malls over the years, with fierce competition, and out of town shopping malls like Mega, Bangna.

Central malls in Bangkok has been trying to compete, after Digital Gateway, opened with a focus on Japanese goods and food, and and Terminal 21 opened, with excellent themes, they opened a new food mall called Central 'Groove', and a high end mall called Central 'Embassy'.

Bangkok is really spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping malls. Phuket though, that's different.

The new mall is called 'Phuket Floresta' a walking bridge connects it to Central Festival.

The big big big improvement, a big new addition..... parking! Lots of parking. Central Festival was impossible on weekends, this fixes it. But there's also a lot of new stores that were previously available only in Bangkok.

Oishi Eatarium, is a premium buffet from the Oishi brand. One of baby Pang's favorites, this is in the basement.
Marks and Spencer, a British store selling clothes and British biscuits.
Miniso, Japanese gadgets and novelty items.
In Festival, they're adding a Daiso, plastics store. A little Diaso store is already in Phuket, but nothing to rival the big Diaso stores you see in Central Bangna.
An excellent food court, a real upgrade from the previous one.
A major show, to rival Himmapan in Show DC.
Eventually a proper children's play area and aquarium. This has yet to be finished, currently Yo Yo land in Seacon Square is the one to beat for children.

A week of shows, famous singers, balloon and bubble shows with arty jugglers and dancing made it a good launch. Central are guaranteed success here, there is very little competition in Phuket, and these upgrades are long overdue!
